Requirements

- Results from 7 grade– 4,50 and above
- Sitting the entry exam
- Approval from the admissions committee

Admission exam: The exam consists of the following components:

- Test Bulgarian Language – 30 questions;
- Literature – retelling of an unknown text or retelling of a text from a different point of view; essay (for international students)
- Mathematics – problems based on the 7 grade material.

The exam is based on the curriculum for the 7 grade, according to the requirements of MON and the exam takes 4 hours. The school provides sample exam questions at registration.

Admission

Candidates will be offered a place at the school according to their achieved entrance score and after the approval of the admissions committee. The entrance score is made up of the following:
- entry exam result (x 3);
- overall mark (first term or completed 7th grade);
- grade in Bulgarian language (first term or completed 7th grade);
- grade in Mathematics (first term or completed 7th grade);

Enrolment

Students are enrolled within the set deadlines with:
1) document for completed grade (student book, transcripts),
2) 4 photographs (documents format),
3) health card,
4) paid first instalment of the tuition fees and a signed contract for tuition between the school and the student's parents/guardiants.

English test - entrance level for admitted students

All students enrolled in the 8 grade at Zlatarski School sit an entrance test in English. The results of this test are used in the allocation of students in the classes according to their language abilities. The exam will take place at the end of June 2008 at the school. The results from the entry English test will be announced at the end of July 2008.
