School celebrates its 10th Anniversary!
On the 30 June 2005 "Prof. Vassil Zlatarski"
Private School celebrated its 10th Anniversary as
the first IB world school in Bulgaria and awarded
the diplomas to its sixth graduating class, who
completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma
Programme.
Throughout the past 10 years the School community
worked hard on establishing the School's prestige
and the development of common traditions, contributing
to the School's outlook of today. In his congratulating
letter to the whole School community the
President
of Bulgaria Mr Georgi Parvanov emphasized
on the success of "Prof. Vassil Zlatarski"
Private School as an institution, which develops
and educates its students to become the future citizens
of a United Europe.
"It is always hard work to establish an IB
school and especially hard to be a pioneer in the
country but it is evident that the work has paid
off and we now have a well-established member of
the IB family of schools" - noted in his address
to the school
Mr Svante Ingler, Regional Manager of the
IB Diploma Programme.
The celebration started with an address of the
Director of the School, Mrs Kardasheva, to the current
students, alumni, teachers, parents and friends
of the School. She expressed her pride in achieving
the School's goal - bringing Bulgarian education
to the standards of the international community
of schools. The guests were part of the official
ceremony for the graduation of the Class of 2005.
The graduating students received their deserved,
excellent diplomas.
On behald of her classmates, the graduating Miss
Olga Gots, congratulated the School board and the
teachers for their immense care and hard work, saying
that good education provides every young person
with the freedom of choice. To share the atmosphere
of the School's 10th Anniversary, alumni from the
classes of 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004, who
successfully continued their education in universities
across the world and in Bulgaria, were present at
the celebration.
Former student Miss Eva Kostova '02, who is currently
a student of Journalism in Rome, expressed her thanks
to the School for the well-grounded knowledge she
received and the "healthy amount" of confidence,
which helps school graduates in all their future
endeavours.
The pleasant atmosphere of the event continued
with an open reception in the School park and the
talented performance of Yordan Radichkov's play
"Sumatoha" by club "Drama",
directed by Andrey Filipov. The School received
warm wishes for further successes from all its friends
and guests.
