School End of Year Celebration! Zlatarski School
invites all current students, alumni and prospective
students and their parents, as well as all friends
of the School to join the School Community in
the celebration of the End of the Academic Year
on 24 June 2006, Saturday in the school building.
Join us for the graduation of the School's
seventh class and the
second class graduating with the International
Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Students from all grades
will be recognized for their academic and extracurricular
achievements. We will be glad to see you all

15.06.2006 Училищен
софтуер за онлайн обучение Гимназия Златарски започна разработването
на училищен софтуер за онлайн обучение,
който ще влезе в употреба през учебната 2006/2007
година. Софтуерът позволява консултации
на учениците с техните учители по предмети
онлайн, форуми за обсъждане на задания и домашни
работи онлайн, както и следене на всички писмени
и устни изпитвания през учебната година. Пилотният проект ще стартира с учениците и
учителите от 11 IB клас. Целта е в бъдеще всички ученици и учители
на гимназията да бъдат интегрирани в системата. |

12.06.2006 Изпитната
сесия на 12 IB клас завърши успешно От
02 до 23 май 2006г IB учениците
положиха 14 изпита по английски език, български
език, математика, история, биология, физика,
втори чужд език, които ще бъдат оценени
от международни изпитни комисии. Много от
нашите дванадесетокласници, благодарение на високите предварителни резултати в IB програмата и успешно положените TOEFL и SAT,
са приети в университети в Англия, Германия,
Италия, Монако в специалности финанси, международни
отношения, бизнес администрация, туризъм,
мениджмънт, дизайн и др. |

12.06.2006 Международен
обмен с учители от Швеция През
септември 2006г гости на училището ни ще бъдат десет учители от Швеция. Проектът се
осъществява от Конфедерацията на Бизнес компаниите
в Швеция, която провежда проучване за глобализиращия
се свят в 20 градове в Европа. Гимназия
Златарски бе избрана да представя София. Учителите
от Швеция ще се запознят с методите на преподаване
в училището, с учебните програми и възможностите
за реализация на учениците ни. |

Учениците
на Гимназия Златарски държат Cambridge Exams 39
ученици от 9 и 10 клас на Гимназията ще държат
изпитите Cambridge ESOL Examinations в периода 8-17 юни 2006г. 10 ученици ще се
явят на изпити за Certificate in Advanced English (CAE),
а 29 - за First Certificate in English (FCE). По време на учебната година учениците на Гимназията
бяха предварително подготвени в специални
часове, с цел успешното получаване на Cambridge сертификатите. Миналата година от 23 явили се ученици на FCE нямаше нито един провалил се, повечето получиха
оценка B, a 4
ученици – оценка А. Успех на всички тази година! |

Qualifications at the International Baccalaureate
Workshops in Athens, June- July 2006. As
part of its annual programme for furthering
its teachers' qualifications, Zlatarski
School sends several teachers to attend the
workshops organized by the International Baccalaureate
Organisation in Athens, Greece, June - July

Златарски провежда I училищен форум
на Европейския младежки парламент (EYP). Той има структурата на национална сесия –
състои се от генерално събрание,
където се представят, атакуват и гласуват
резолюциите, изготвени от учениците на Гимназия
Златарски през месец април.
Най-добре представилите се отбори ще имат
възможността да представят училището на следващите
национални сесии на ЕYP в България. Разискваните
теми са по актуални за ЕС проблеми. |

17/02/2006 English Language Competition. The first round of the competition
will take place at Zlatarski School. Altogether 112 students from the School's
8, 9, 10 grades will participate. The second
stage of the competition (regional) will take
place on 11/03/2006, and the final round (national)
on 15/04/2006. |

21/02/2006 Zlatarski School takes part
with 6 teams in the National Educational Programme
in Physics Online "Physics through my
eyes" under the coordination of Mrs Iliana
Serafimova (Physics) and with the help of
Dr. Malinov (Physics) and R. Blush (IT). The

Students and staff of the School will donate
each 1 book (literature/science/album/atlas/textbook
etc) in order to contribute to the development

day by taking part in the school competition

University of Paris. Gergana
Radoynova of class '05, who successfully

15/01/2006 The 9th National Astronomy
Competition took place. From the
three Zlatarski School students, who took
part in the competition, the best results
were achieve by Lubomir Mitev (12IB
class), who continues in the second
round of the competition. |

04/01/2006 New Laboratory - The
Science Lab! Zlatarski School opened
its new laboratory "Science Lab".
Situated in the D2 building of the school, the laboratory is equipped with the newest
equipment and tools for conducting
laboratory work in Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
Zlatarski School students now can benefit
from this modern equipment for carrying out
their experiments/projects. |

10/12/2005 Eva Paunova of class '05, student
in the International Baccalaureate Diploma
Programme at Zlatarski School, was awarded
this year's holder of the crown of
the Queen of Light Santa Lucia on
10/12/2005 at the ceremony, organized by the
embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden in hotel
Sheraton. Ex-Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha
presented her with the necklace. Eva continued
her education at John Cabot University in
Rome, where she studies International Relations
and is also a model for F models agency. |

22/12/2005 Zlatarski School students organize
a large scale charity initiative for the elderly
people's home in Zaharna Fabrica.
The students from 12 grade will perform the
play "Padar", written after the
story of Elin Pelin, students from the 8 and
11 IB grade will sing Christmas songs and
12 IB will donate books. The students have
also organized a Chrismas dinner with homemade
dishes. Organizers of the initiative are Rumiana
Yordanova (Arts), Snezhana Zorova (English)
and Denitsa Mitova (12 A class). |

3-7/01/2006 Winter vacation in
the heart of Rila Mountain. From
3-7 January 2006, Zlatarski School organizes
winter school at hotel Treshtenik, which is
in the heart of the Rila Mountain, at 1 800m
over the sea level and 15 km over the town
of Yakoruda. |

23/12/2005 Big Christmas Party Students express their creativity and acting
skills by taking part in numerous competitions:
look-alike of a famous person (actor, singer,
politician,...); most attractive outfit and
make-up (Miss Snow White, Santa, dwarf, koledar);
best dancing couple. 8 and 9 grade students
have the chance to participate in another
two competitions - a text for "survakane"
and best "survachka". Best performers
win prizes.

02/12/2005 Teachers and students from Zlatarski
School went to a charity Christmas
concert, which took place in concert
hal Bulgaria. At the event performed the Spings,
Chidren Radio Choir and Opera singers from
the Musical theatre. All collected funds will
be used for the building of church in Dobrusha
village, Vratsa. |

school community is now aware of the multiple

30/11/2005 Oлимпиада по Цивилизации. В нея участваха ученици от цялото училище,
разпределени в 52 отбора. Въпросите бяха от
областите – история, култура, митология, биология,
спорт, история на изкуствата, логика, философия
и др. Победител е отбор “Reginas” ( Мила Джамбазова,
Албена Василева, Маргарита Палазова и Елена
Иванова – 10 В клас). Сред достойно представилите
се имаше и представители от 8 и12 клас, 11
IB и 12 IB. Победителите бяха наградени с
книги. |

to see the play "Hushove", directed by Alexander Morfov and written after
the work of Ivan Vazov "Nemili - Nedragi".
Long after the end of the play, their applauses
echoed in the National Theatre hall. |

15/11/2005 Basketball Tournament Between 4-6 November 2005 Zlatarski School basketball
teams (girls and boys) participated
at the ACS Open Basketball Tournament. Our
teams played against the teams from the Italian
Lyceum, the American College of Sofia and
35th School. |

1/11/2005 On this National Holiday,
the students from 10th B grade of Zlatarski
School - Albena Vasileva, Mila Djambazova
and Alexandra Zhekova succeeded in the literature
quizz at the National Museum "Zemiata
i horata". The jury awarded the students
with book vouchers. Our teacher Antonio Ginev
participated in the teachers quizz and kindly
donated the book he was awarded with to the
School library. |

чужд език, проведен от Министерството на образованието

8-9/0/2005 The IB Retreat for the IB Class of 2007 takes place on 8-9 September 2005. During
these intense two days, all IB teachers present
their IB subjects, with the choice of level,
requirements and assessment criteria stated
clearly. Each of the 18 IB students (11 IB
grade) enrolled for the IB programme this
year receives a folder with all subject syllabi
and an IB calendar containing the internal
assessment deadlines. Studies start on Monday,
