Zlatarski International School, Sofia celebrates 30 years since its foundation. Established in 1995 as an English language secondary school, authorized by the Ministry of Education, the school became the first International Baccalaureate (IB) world school in Bulgaria in 2003. The School was authorized by Cambridge International Education in 2010 and in 2018 we were authorized by the Ministry of Education to extend our provision to primary education. Today, the School offers motivated 11-18 year-old students a world class curriculum and stimulating opportunities, organized in three stages: Lower Secondary (Grades 5-7), Cambridge Checkpoint and IGCSE (Grades 8-10) and Upper Secondary: IB Diploma (Grades 11-12). Our students can graduate with both the Bulgarian Secondary Diploma as well as the IB Diploma. Thanks to the well-designed learning pathways and excellent teaching, our students achieve outstanding results. This opens the doors for our graduates to the world’s most selective universities and programmes in the UK, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the US, Switzerland and beyond.

Our Educational Programme
Zlatarski International School offers motivated 11-18 year-old students a world class curriculum and stimulating opportunities, organized in the following stages:
Lower Secondary School: (Grades 5-7): national programme, enriched by the Cambridge Lower Secondary programme
Middle School: (Grades 8-10): national programme, enriched by the Cambridge Checkpoint and IGCSE programme
Upper Secondary School: (Grades 11-12): IB Diploma programme and/or the national programme
International students in Grades 5-12 can choose to follow only the international pathway
